Alcohol Testing Stations for Mine Sites, Construction & Events

Two steel-framed awnings run along the Sea Container’s long side, each opening to 2.4 metres wide and 2.4 metres high. Gas struts handle the lift, so one person can easily raise or lower them using the pull-handle.

When open, they create a shaded, rain-protected area for people waiting to test. When closed, the Sea Container is fully sealed and secure for transport or overnight lockup.

A mounted distribution board manages power across the entire sea container. The electrical fit-out includes four double general purpose outlets, two internal LED batten lights and a two-gang light switch. Everything is mine-spec compliant and tagged, ready for site inspection the day it arrives.

Three 5mm steel plates are welded directly to the inside of the corrugated wall profile, spaced evenly at 900mm centres. These provide flat, solid mounting surfaces for wall-mounted breathalyser units like the Alcolizer Centurion Quantum.

Perth Containers Breathalyser units can process up to 360 tests per hour each using passive breath detection, certified to AS 3547.1:2019.

The built-in camera captures a photo at the time of each test for identity verification. A 20ft Sea Container can house up to four units.

People badge on before testing, creating an automatic log of who tested, when, and what the result was. A gate control unit can be added to restrict site entry until a clear reading is recorded.

Both ends of the Sea Container retain their original double doors, fully operable. This creates a natural one-way flow: people enter at one end, complete their test, and exit at the other. It keeps queues moving at shift changeover and avoids the bottleneck.
